In immigration law, you could say the only constant is change ???????? – and then even those changes change! ????????☠️
Case in point: a little while ago, we flagged a significant change to the labour market testing requirements for TSS employer-sponsored visas, namely that in addition to placing 2 ads, an additional ad would need to be placed on the government’s Jobactive website.
This has since been changed to a requirement to advertise on Jobactive + only 1 other site. So 2 ads rather than 3.
You can read the updated legislative instrument here:
Update: Home Affairs has advised that the legislation has a drafting error, and the original news was correct i.e. 3 ads. So now we’re talking about changes to changes to changes!
